Real Madrid set to highjack Man Citys move for Alexis Sanchez?
Sanchez is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of the season with the Chile international determined to leave north London for a new challenge elsewhere.
The 28-year-old nearly left in the summer but, despite agreeing on a fee for the player, Manchester City missed out on their priority transfer target.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon says Real Madrid are determined to hijack any City move for Sanchez at the end of the current campaign.
Los Blancos have long retained an interest in Arsenal star Sanchez dating back to his time in La Liga with fierce rivals Barcelona.
They opted against pursuing the forward when he joined Arsenal in 2014.
Yet Real are confident they can beat City and secure Sanchez’s arrival on a free transfer at the end of the season.
